What is Hypnotherapy?
Your mind works on two levels, the conscious mind where you make decisions, think and act, and the unconscious mind which stores your habits, beliefs, memories and emotions. Over 90% of your actions are steered by the powerful unconscious mind, it is this part that drives how you live your life.
In a 1:1 session we'll use coaching questions to explore what it is you want to have, do or feel differently about in your life.
Hypnotherapy then guides you to a relaxed state where the unconscious mind can be accessed to re-programme any unhelpful beliefs and stories you have been telling yourself at a deep level, supporting change and ensuring you feel good about yourself quickly.
Hypnosis is a relaxed state of consciousness, a bit like when you are relaxing in the sunshine with your eyes closed, day dreaming. You know you are not fully awake, yet not asleep and are aware of what’s going on around you.
You are in control at all times and no-one can make you do anything you are not comfortable with. You can choose to come back to full alertness at any time.

When your body and conscious mind are relaxed, the unconscious mind, which is always alert and open to suggestion, can be more effectively accessed.
By changing the patterns and beliefs we may have been holding for a long time, we allow new insights to emerge and new ways of thinking to transform our experiences.
